No display on the control panel?
First ensure that the power switch is in the ON position. If the display still does not show up, check for loose signal cables. Also check for loose electrical plugs and if the fuse has blown. If the fuse indicator light is on, this means the fuse requires replacing.
Control panel display looks normal but system will not operate?
Ensure that the air pressure is turned on and is within the systems operating range. Next check that the key switch is turned to the ON position before operating the clamps. Lastly when turning the key switch to the OFF position, check that the switch is working.
Pump is running continuously and cannot be stopped?
First check for signs of fluid leakage. If there is no leakage check the oil level indicator to see if the fluid level is within the suggested limits. If the level is normal, try turning the release valve to release air pressure and then closing the valve.
Clamp does not hold die securely?
First check that the air pressure is sufficient for the pumps operating range. Then ensure that the thickness of the die base is within the specifications for the clamp (The die base may be too thin for the clamp).
Air pressure or hydraulic pressure too low?
Check to see if the air compressor is turned on and the air lines are free and clear, if there are no problems with the air supply, inspect the air pressure regulator and adjust the pressure if needed. Also check to see if the PU hose is ruptured or damaged.
The pressure plate doesn’t retract when the press is set between 2O’clock and 9O’clock?
The extractor switch is probably at ON, which means the press is at the ready pressure and nothing is wrong with the machine.
The pressure plate is lower than the machine plate during extraction?
The pressure plate is lower than the machine plate during extraction.
The power source (red box) makes a noise when the extractor switch is turned on but there is no change in the oil pressure gauge?
If the press can still be operated in this situation, there is a problem with the oil pressure gauge (Number 6). If the press cannot be operated (the PC plate sticks to the mold after cycling and extraction is impossible), then there is a build-up of internal air pressure. Lower the machine plate to the 6O’clock position (bottom dead center), set the extractor switch at OFF and open the air release valve (number 1) until no more bubbles appear. Close the release valve and return the plate to 12 O’clock (Top dead center), and set the extraction switch to OFF. This should take care of the problem. Check the hydraulic fluid level at this time (no.7) to insure there is enough fluid.
The air pressure and gauges appear normal but activating the extractor switch dose not affect the power source (red box).
The power connector (metal cover) behind the power source is loose.
Tighten the connection, and operation should return to normal.
The extraction pressure gauge (4) is the red band and will not come back down.
This machine is designed to operate within a given pressure range if the gauge shows a red reading the machine will cycle too fast and the useful life of the press may be shortened. A larger press is needed to perform the job being done.
