Automated production equipment becomes more important during times of economic downturn and with the growth of industrial automation equipment there is more intense competition between industries. The “quality, costs, and production efficiency” are all ways in which companies can set themselves apart to survive in the market, and the global industry is actively planning to import more automatic production equipment in order to strengthen the international competitiveness of manufacturing companies. As such the automotive market drives the demand for spare parts, automotive electronics, and the 3C industry. Furthermore automated production equipment that is needed for metal forming and plastic injection molding have the largest market potential. Especially as there are a growing number of international brands as well as domestic mainland manufacturers, the market potential is very impressive.

Forwell is the cross-strait leading manufacturer of quick die change systems, and two years ago Chairman Xiao Wen Long had the insight to follow market trends and invest heavily in building a new facility. This new facility is in Huai’an, China and covers a massive 13,000 ping floor space and is specially constructed to produce automation equipment for the mainland’s automotive industry and 3C electronic technology industries. Xiao Wen Long also said that the global auto industry has been booming, and is currently very popular in China, and recently there has also been a sharp rise in car sales. China’s desire to grow rapidly and pursue a high quality of life has sparked the growth of the domestic demand for cars and the entire automotive supply chain has benefitted from these changes in market demand. The relative demand for automation production equipment and mold management systems has grown significantly and the automotive industry should continue to display more of this urgent demand.

Xiao Wen Long said “quick die change systems” are an important form of automated production systems as they can be applied to the current production facilities to improve and increase production efficiency. For new plants, it will take more time to organize and to plan comprehensively. He stressed that Forwell has completed development of the first stage of “quick die change systems” and the second stage of mold cart systems. Now Forwell is developing a high price custom mold management system which includes mold storage systems and mold repair systems. These two systems will form the basis of the “mold management system” and the company is very keen to meet strict development plans for the quick die change systems, mold carts systems, and mold management systems. On October 10th Forwell will open a new plant in Huai’an, Jiangsu Province, China, and this new factory will focus on the development of “mold management systems”.

Chairman Xiao Wen Long emphasizes that with its size and rampant tourism industry, mainland China has a huge domestic demand for cars, large trucks for the transportation of goods, and other commercial vehicles. Furthermore the environmentally-friendly hybrid and electric vehicle markets also have considerable room for development and therefore Forwell will continue to focus on these related industries. He estimates that the company’s domestic market share will remain stable but the market in mainland China will have more substantial growth with a growth rate of around 15% in 2015.

Forwell Precision Machinery is currently located across mainland China in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Kunshan, Ningbo, and Huai’an. In the future they aim to extend their reach to Tianjin, Shenyang, Qingdao, and Wuhan, as well as other locations in Northeastern China.
